New Website Design for Ben Hauck online // Alpha Version

Hi again!  My website is back in commission after being down for a week while I was redesigning it (and balancing some other duties).

Now, it’s nowhere near completion but I needed to get it back online.  In particular, what’s missing is my video portfolio, which I still need to rebuild.  I hope to have that up soon, and in the meantime you can check my YouTube channel.

So since there’s still much to do, I’m calling this new design in its “alpha” state.  Please bear with me as I get things functional again!

In the meantime, won’t you

Ben (Mis)Quoted in New York Magazine

In a June 3, 2012, article in New York Magazine (see the article online here), I was quoted in a story about feet.

Or rather, misquoted.  Despite my correcting a fact checker about what I said, somehow this quote made it into article on the topic of 2XU compression socks, which I’ve used in marathon training:

“These are the same socks the elderly wear to prevent blood clots. They keep your circulation flowing so your feet still feel comfortable after a long day of training.” —Ben Hauck, marathon runner

2XU socks are not “the same socks the elderly wear.”  Compression socks are […]

“Ben Hauck: Stand-Out Memories Of Standing In” // Interview with doddleNEWS

An interview I did recently with Daniel Pearson just went live on doddleNEWS.  Titled “Ben Hauck: Stand-Out Memories Of Standing In,” it covers not only my work as a stand-in and Stand-In Central, but also my work as an actor and author.

Now Published: “The Stand-In Handbook” by Ben Hauck // Available for Download at Stand-In Central

This week I published the downloadable PDF ebook The Stand-In Handbook on Stand-In Central, a website that provides information and insight about the job of the television and film stand-in.  I founded Stand-In Central and serve as its editor.

The Stand-In Handbook culls articles from the Stand-In Central website into a portable document for easy study the night before a big stand-in gig.  With over 34 chapters in 127 pages, there is no more complete resource on standing in than The Stand-In Handbook!

Welcome to the Brand New Ben Hauck online!

Over the past few months, I’ve been considering a total redesign of my website, Ben Hauck online.  Here it is!

Since my focus is now exclusively on my acting career, I wanted to centralize my acting career on my website.  I wanted to make it so that you could quickly and easily find out about my acting career and see some of my work.  My other endeavors, like writing and general semantics, I’ve de-emphasized from this new version of the website.  They are still here (or are in the process of being added), just less obvious.  The only exception is the […]
