Today I starred in a voting documentary filmed by vlogger Aimée Davison.

This evening I did a live radio interview for Lucy-Jade Norris‘s program On Air with Lucy. In the interview, we talked about the recent NYC Replacement Marathon that I organized while briefly touching on my book Long-Form Improv.
Below is the wrap-up email I sent out to interesteds and participants in the NYC Replacement Marathon run at 8am on Sunday, November 4, 2012, in Central Park. The post below is slightly modified from the original email. UPDATED: 11/18/2012
Hello, all!
Many of you participated in the NYC Replacement Marathon. Others of you emailed me and subways got in your way. Others just contacted me interested in the story.
I wanted to give you a wrap-up.
NOTE: Check the bottom of this post for any updates. Even better, email me your email address so I can email you any changes. If you want to see the original information about this race idea, click here for the first blog post.
Hello,
My name is Ben Hauck. I’m a guy running a marathon in Central Park on Sunday since there is no NYC Marathon 2012. It was featured in an article on the Huffington Post website. I understand you’re interested in joining me. Here are the official details of what I’m calling “The NYC Replacement […]
Hi. My name is Ben Hauck. And I’m going to run a marathon on Sunday.
Not the ING NYC Marathon, because it’s been cancelled. Instead, I’m going to run one in Central Park.
I’m going to use my Garmin 610 and run 4+ loops around the park until my watch tells me I’ve run a marathon.
Perhaps you’ll want to join me.
I’m just a guy. A guy who wants to run that day.
On October 5th, I did an interview with Elizabeth Quinn for her Improvised New York podcast. The interview was the substance for Episode 47, which came out today.
Subscribe to her fantastic podcast which interviews all kinds of improvisers on iTunes or listen on Podbean when it’s released a little later this month.
This evening I appeared on Episode 704 (“Unwindulax”) of the television series 30 Rock.
I appear in the second act, in the second scene. In other words, after the first commercial break, I’m in the second scene.
I play the coatcheck guy opposite Tina Fey.
I noticed that in the screencap for the Hulu version, there’s a shot of Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin. Between them in the background, you see me!
Today I ran the Atlantic City Marathon 2012 in 3:15:14, which oddly enough is 2 seconds faster than I ran the Boston Marathon 2011.
This means that to date, today’s marathon is my fourth fastest marathon.

This afternoon I was interviewed by Lucy-Jade Norris for her new series On Deck with Lucy. The interview should be out in October. In it, we spoke of my new book Long-Form Improv, my all-improvised web series The Infinite Need, and the improvised sermons I do as the Reverend Raymond Nader.
Then, I turned the tables an interviewed Lucy for my Artist Interview Series. The interview should be online tomorrow on my YouTube channel.
