Around Christmas and New Year's, NYC is dreadfully/thankfully slow. There hasn't been much in the way of auditions of late.
However, come January 2004, Equity Principal Audition season kicks in, when lots of regional theaters hold open calls in NYC, known as "EPAs." Also, pilot season kicks in as well. I'm hoping for an especially productive winter this year.
Hey, if you're reading this, please root for me. I've been in NYC for 4 years and don't see myself leaving any time soon. But this career is a hard one to pursue. I'm balancing a job with an acting career and a life, which sometimes includes time to myself and other times, barely does.
I usually don't post too much personal information in this news page--basically only career tidbits and such--but if you have a moment to send me an email of encouragement, or a connection to some great acting work(!), please, by all means.
Cheers, and Happy New Year,
Ben
