On Sunday, March 18, 2012, at 7pm, I will be performing as The Reverend Raymond Nader a completely improvised sermon based on an audience suggestion.

The performance will be part of Performance Mix at Joyce SoHo, a festival of curated acts produced by the New Dance Alliance in association with the Joyce SoHo. The Reverend’s sermon will be the final act of the week-long festival, and it will be followed by a closing night party with tapas, wine, and dancing. (What a way to end the week!)

All performances and events will be held at Joyce SoHo (155 Mercer Street between Houston and Prince St. in Manhattan). For the 7pm shows, General Admission is $15, and admission for Artists, Students and Seniors is $10. You can also purchase a Festival Week Pass for $24. (8pm shows are free and first come, first served.)

Tickets will be available after December 15 at Joyce.org.

This afternoon I attended a workshop titled “Script Writing for Actors/Improvisors” with improvisation historian (among other titles) Jeffrey Sweet, author of the book Something Wonderful Right Away. The workshop was offered by Artistic New Directions.

Today I played an office worker in a commercial titled “The Millions” for the New York Lottery.

This afternoon I took a workshop with casting associate Kevin Kuffa from Lynn Kressel Casting.

This afternoon I took a workshop with FOX casting director Clint Alexander.

This afternoon I took a workshop with ABC casting director Janet Murphy-Butler.

This afternoon I took a workshop with NBC casting director Trey Lawson.

This afternoon I played an office worker on a Verizon commercial titled “Pre-Assembled.”
