In thinking about my career identity, I made some shifts in promotional focus on my website as reflected in the “about Ben Hauck” box to the right.
With that shift in identity meant a shift in some of the organization of the menu. I’ve grouped Videos and Gallery with Acting to accentuate the acting aspect of my career pursuits, moving Writing and Teaching over to the side a bit.

Today I met with legit agent Kyetay Beckner of The Gersh Agency.
I just got back from a whirlwind trip to see Milton Dawes, whose website titled “General Semantics” I webmaster. I was at his home in Montreal to teach him how to use his website, in particular his blog. I was only in Montreal for about 5 hours after bussing then bussing out. Whoa!
Today I played someone outside a restaurant in Episode 201 of the television series Bored to Death.

In the film, I was the stand-in for Jason Bateman. In the trailer, you’ll see my feet in the beginning (sperm rains down on them–not as bad as it sounds). You’ll also see my hand holding the white cup toward the middle.
So excited! The film is out August 20th, 2010.

Today I played a Wall Street passerby and stood in for Jim True-Frost on Episode 09011 (“Gods and Insects”) of the television series Law & Order: Criminal Intent.
I also passed along to Jeff Goldblum’s assistant my recent essay titled “The Day Michael Jackson Died” from ETC: A Review of General Semantics. The essay covers the rumor about Jeff’s death which circulated on the same day Michael Jackson passed away.
